
During the cherry blossom season, Japanese love picnicking under sakura trees. The event is known as Hanami.
While there are well organized and popular Hanami destinations in Tokyo - like Yoyogi Park (pictured above) – where you can see hundreds of sakura trees and thousands of people, it is also very common to see small groups of office workers enjoying food and drinks, after work, under isolated sakura trees in the middle of downtown.
